Summer Grove DogFight Golf Group
THE DOGFIGHT
The dopfight is essentially a creative handicap game.

Eligibility
-
After playing a minimum of four rounds to establish four scores, an average of the top four of the last eight rounds is used to calculate a player's "hurdle."
-
Until a person has 4 scores posted they cannot win the dog fight.
-
Once four or more rounds are scored a player's average cannot change by more than two points up or down after each single round.

Scoring
-
Bogeys = l point
-
Pars = 2 points
-
Birdies = 4 points
-
Eagles = 8 points
-
Albatross = 12 points

**** The player who clears his "hurdle" by the most points wins. ****

Tee Boxes
-
Players under 60 shall hit from the blue tee boxes, over 60 may hit from the white tees. Over 70 can hit from the combination tees (whits and green).
-
If a player wishes to tee off further back please feel free to do so.
Rules
-
USGA Rules apply.
-
As we use a modified shot gun start, player is allowed to hit a second ball off the first tee (par 4 or 5 only). If player opts to hit a second ball, the second ball must be played.
-
If you think the ball is out of bounds on white stakes, please hit a provisional ball.
-
As the goal is to get to be better players, please putt out on each hole.
-
If you wish to be respected by your fellow players, please extend the same respect to everyone.
-
You may keep your USGA scores for handicap purposes with the Club. Additional fee may apply.
Games within Foursomes
-
Side games are entirely up to the players in a foursome or group.
-
Make sure everyone understands the rules clearly to avoid confusion.
-
Please do not make up the rules as you go along (we have a couple guys that are good at that).
Club Toss
-
Make sure the coast is clear and you only throw your own club.
-
Tossing a club into a body of water is the players’ choice.
-
Players tossing clubs that get stuck in a tree resulting in slow play are accessed a 2 stroke penalty.
